I am an architect and sculptor. Since 1997 I have been teaching sculpture and architecture at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan, in the Departments of Visual Arts and New Technologies, where I have the privilege of guiding generations of artists and designers on their journey. I currently serve as a member of the Academic Council of the Brera Academy. In 2023 I was part of the jury for the Second International Ceramic Art Biennale of Jingdezhen, an experience that further strengthened my commitment to the dialogue between tradition and innovation. I hold a Second-Level Academic Diploma in Sculpture from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts (1987) and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Politecnico di Milano (1995). I am a specialist in 3D modeling, virtual reality, and 3D printing, and since 2008 I have been a Blender Foundation Certified Instructor (Amsterdam). My research has long focused on new forms of integration between real and virtual art. In 2008, together with Stefania Albertini, I founded the Brera Academy Virtual Lab — the virtual sculpture and architecture laboratory at the Brera Academy. It is a pioneering space where physical matter and digital code continue to engage in constant dialogue and generate new expressive possibilities. Recently, I have explored these themes in depth in my new book “Art Between Matter and Code: Bridging Classical Art and Digital Frontiers” (2026), academically edited by Zhou Zhiwen. In this publication I examine the intersection of procedural generation, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing, outlining new frontiers for contemporary art.
